EC recruits over 200 professionals to support election result collation

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced that the commission has recruited over 200 professionals to support the 2024 election result collation.

According to the Electoral Commission, over 200 professionals are made up of experts in mathematics, statistics, and other related fields to ensure an error-free electoral process.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening the credibility and reliability of the election results, reinforcing public trust and democratic values.

Dr Eric Bossman Asare, the Deputy Chairperson of the EC, revealed this to the media during an interview on Tuesday, November 5.

He said, “The Commission has already recruited over 280,000 individuals who are going to work on this election. We have also recruited people who are going to help with the collation.”

“These are people who have a background in mathematics, actuarial science, and statistics and will be assisting with quantitative methods. So, they are going to assist the returning officers at the constituency level”, he added.
