Celebrated Nigerian music producer and musician, Don Jazzy, has advised men to prioritize and regularize paternity tests.
According to him, it is critical for every man to ascertain if the children they are ‘playing’ father for are actually theirs.
To him, a man should not make the mistake of rushing to name a child because he has been told the child is his.
“Conducting a DNA test is more important than a naming ceremony,” his status update read.
With the rising cases of paternity fraud, many men have become extra vigilante.
Prior to Don Jazzy’s warning, Ghanaian musician, Guru also advised men to conduct paternity tests on every child claimed to be theirs.
His advise came after he disclosed he almost suffered a fate of taking responsibility for a child which was not his some years back.
