The Wednesday November 27, 2024 edition of the Good Morning Ghana morning show on Metro TV experienced a sudden break as a group of young guys and police officers tried to break through the studio.
The show was put on hold due to the situation while panelists were making submissions on topical issues making trends in the media. Per reports the private security personnel at the premises of the station have had one member injured while trying to stop the interruption by the group and Policemen.
Reports by the host, Dr. Randy Abbey indicates that the police who were armed forcibly tried entering the studio while the programme was live showing on television and also streaming on the Internet. With no warrants it is not clear as it stands what the people ans Policemen want or who they came for. Neither has it been yet established who they came to attack in the studio.
The Private Security personnel and management of the station have resolved the interruption amidst apologies from the host also confirming that the Ghana Police Service have been duly informed to look at the matter.
