His comments comes on the back of an assurance made by Kwadwo Opoku Nsafoah that, the Vice President, when he is voted to become the next President, will institute an investigation into the Expired rice saga.

Weeks ago, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, released an expose over how expired rice are been repackaged and distributed to the Senior High Schools to be served to students. He alleged in his expose that, the company behind the scandal belongs to the boss of the National Buffer stock, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer of the NPP.

Reacting to the comment that Bawumia will investigate into the matter, Lawyer Kpebu said he finds its worrisome hearing that, there is no other person to deal with such matter but the Vice President. He shared someone who has a track record for feeding people with expired food does not appear fit to investigate the matter.
