Bawku conflict claims two more lives

The chieftaincy conflict in Bawku is far from over as two more people have died bringing the death toll to 19.

The two are said to have been ambushed on the road while travelling from Bawku to Togo when unidentified assailants opened fire on the vehicle.

According to reports one of the deceased was a Mamprusi, while the other was a Togolese national who been in Bawku to care for his ailing father, but the father passed away.

They were en route to Togo with the deceased body when the ambush occurred.
