A group of armed robbers locked inside Rahama Forex Bureau at Lapaz have reportedly escaped.
According to reports the armed robbers were trapped inside the building after some quick-thinking by the police around the premises who managed to lock them inside awaiting backup.
Reports suggest some personnel of the anti-robbery unit of the Ghana Police Service quickly responded and were involved in a standoff against an unidentified group of armed robbers at the Rahama Forex Bureau LTD in Lapaz, following a foiled robbery attempt.
Eyewitness reports indicate a female staff of the Forex Bureau was held hostage whilst police attempted a rescue and arrest of the group.
However, despite the Ghana Police Service surrounding the place, in a stunning turn of events, the robbers still managed to mysteriously vanish before anti-robbery personnel from the Ghana Police Service could apprehend them.
