Armed robbers have attacked the convoy of the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Alhaji Mohammed Boateng.
According to reports the convoy of Alhaji Mohammed Boateng was attacked as the NDP was returning from a rally from his hometown, Namasa, in the Tain District of the Bono Region.
The information gathered suggests the incident happened around 8 pm on the Nsawkaw-Wenchi road.
Images from the armed robbery attack showed broken windscreens and the body of the vehicle riddled with bullet holes.
However, there was no casualty recorded.
The robbery attack has since been reported to the Wenchi police station for further investigation.
