Broadcast Journalist and the host of Johnnie’s Bite on 3FM, Johnnie Beresford Hughes has quizzed Ghanaians on whether they are going to elect someone who becomes the problem or someone who becomes the solution.
According to Johnnie Beresford Hughes that should be the driving force behind Ghanaian voters going into their constituencies to vote during the December 7th elections.
Speaking on his program Johnnie’s Bite on 3FM, he said, “For the past 4 years and 8 years what has your member of parliament done, for the past 4 years or 8 years what has your member of parliament said in parliament that works in your interest? People are sponsoring private member bills, what has your MP done, people are lobbying for development to happen to them in their constituency, what has your member of parliament done?”
“And are you going to elect somebody who becomes a problem for you or are you going to elect somebody who becomes the solution for you, that should be the driving force that will take you to the constituency to say I want to queue and vote, that is the only thing”, he added.
Johnnie Hughes further stated, “If you live in a constituency and your member of parliament has not been able to lobby anything, to even lobby the MCE or DCE to be able to build a social amenity or anything for you over the last four to 8 years that person does not deserve to be a member of parliament because that person is just there looking for a job trying to tick some boxes suggesting that I have also become an MP before, he is interested in the car loans, interested in the V8, is interested in the title honorable finish”.
