A 77-year-old Samerboi-Amoaku steel bridge has collapsed in Amefi West.
According to reports the bridge was repaired in September after it was damaged by a truck.
The information gathered reveals the bridge collapsed yesterday when a truck heavily loaded with bags of cocoa from Mumuni to Samreboi tried using the bridge.
In a viral video that has since surfaced the truck has been trapped on the collapsed bridge with the truck almost turning over.
Several bags of cocoa sank into the Samre River, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
