Amaarae makes history as first Ghanaian to perform at Coachella

Ghanaian-American singer, Amaarae is billed to perform at the 2025 Coachella festival slated for April 13 and 20.

Amaarae will become the first Ghanaian to have found herself in the Coachella line up.

Amaarae became the first female Ghanaian musician to reach one billion streams on all major music streaming platforms, and has enjoyed a successful 2024.

The artiste has collaborated with Childish Gambino, performed at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and joined Childish Gambo on his New World tour all in 2024.

Coachella announced Amaarae as part of a star-studded lineup for the 2025 edition of the prestigious music festival.

Amaarae will be performing alongside global stars such as Travis Scott, Post Malone, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, South African sensation Tyla, Ty Dolla Sign, T-Pain, and Nigeria’s Rema.

The 2025 Coachella Music Festival will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Ticket presales are scheduled to begin on Friday, November 22, 2024.
