According to IGP Dampare, people who think that they can come out and make statements to intimidate life will become uncomfortable for them during the 2024 elections.

Speaking to News Editors on the election day security details, the IGP revealed, “Also to the people who think that they can come out making statements to intimidate, we want to tell them that life will become uncomfortable for them, so they should not even try it, cause at the end of the day when you do anything and de-escalation fails, we do anything and engagement fails when we come, we will come with the full force of the law in a manner that dignifies as us a people”.

“In terms of the preparation for the elections, these are just the excerpts I want to give you to be comfortable and tell your people who listen to you across the country Ghana will continue to enjoy the peace that it has been enjoying during the period of the elections”, he added.

IGP Dampare further added, “The way all of us together will prosecute this election is that winners will know that they have won, and losers will also know that they have lost fairly and therefore they have no business to incite anybody to do anything that will disturb the peace”.
