Legendary singer and songwriter Yvonne Chaka Chaka has arrived in Ghana for the highly anticipated 2024 African Legends Night.

The South African songstress, renowned for hits such as “Umqombothi” and “I’m Burning Up,” received a warm welcome at Kotoka International Airport, Accra.

Affectionately known as the Princess of Africa, Yvonne Chaka Chaka expressed her excitement to the press, sharing her eagerness to perform at the star-studded event, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 5.

After an eight-year absence from the African Legends Night stage, Yvonne Chaka Chaka remarked that Ghana holds a special place in her heart. “I love the people of Ghana. I may not be Ghanaian, but I am a Pan-Africanist, and I am glad they are honoring their legends while they are still alive,” she said.

Organized by Global Media Alliance, African Legends Night has become synonymous with excellence in music and entertainment, consistently delivering world-class performances that celebrate the best of African music.

Yvonne Chaka Chaka is set to rock the stage with other legendary musicians from Ghana including George Jahraa, Adane Best and Okyeame Kwame.
