Aide to former president John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has urged Member of the Parliament of Ghana for the Effutu constituency, Alexander Afenyo Markin, to put aside partisan politics and be objective in all his public engagements and utterances.
“When God blesses you very early in life, be humble, know that there are many people around some even more capable than you and even others far better than you who were probably not chosen. Each time God promotes you, take it in all humility and respect.”
“You are a good guy, but too partisan, and the way you disrespected and disparaged Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was very low even for you! Take a few lessons from this experience Sir!” she posted on her X page.
Alexander Afenyo Markin after Speaker Alban Bagbin declared four seats in the House vacant trended on social media after resulting to grant an interview to a journalist who addressed him as a Minority Leader and according to Bawah, he didn’t conduct himself with humility.
The affected MPs whose seats have been declared vacant are: Andrew Amoako Asiamah (Fomena), Peter Kwakye Ackah (Amenfi Central), Cynthia Morrison (Agona West), and Kwadjo Asante (Suhum).
