In a dramatic incident during the ongoing Odwira Festival in the Eastern Region, the wife of the Okuapehene, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, allegedly delivered a fierce slap to a man for firing gunshots recklessly. The altercation occurred during the traditional procession of sending the Okuapehene’s food to Nsorem, a significant ritual at the festival.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the woman can be seen approaching the man, who was holding a double-barrel gun, and without hesitation, landed a swift slap across his face. The act came in response to the man allegedly firing shots unnecessarily during the procession.
Following the slap, she was captured warning the man, gesturing aggressively while maintaining her composure. Traditional leaders present at the scene quickly stepped in, calming the situation and leading the woman away, still holding the food for the ceremony.
