A netizen has trolled the NPP members of parliament for losing their position as the majority in parliament.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, yesterday 17 October 2024 officially declared four parliamentary seats vacant. They include Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah of Amenfi Central (NDC), Andrew Amoakoh Asiama of Fomena, Kojo Asante of Suhum (NPP), and Cynthia Morrison of Agona West (NPP).
This follows a formal petition submitted by Haruna Iddrisu, an NDC MP, to the Speaker, this led to the NPP majority now being declared the minority in parliament.
According to an X user, Chris Atadika, he questioned why the NPP is infuriated by Speaker Bagin’s declaration of 4 seats noting they did the same when Mike Oquaye was the Speaker of parliament.
The X user mocked the NPP with a P-Square popular hit song “Do Me”
