‘When it happens, I will report it’ – Winston Amoah hits back at Afenyo Markin’s JOYFM engaging mischief comments

Winston Amoah, a presenter and Senior Journalist with Multimedia Group JOYFM has responded to comments made by Afenyo Markin describing JOYFM as being mischievous.

According to Afenyo Markin, JOY NEWS was quick to report that there is now a majority in parliament and a new minority and noted JOY NEWS is becoming notorious for misinforming and making mischief on its platform

Speaking at a press conference, Afenyo Markin said, “JOY FM you people are known for a lot of mischief, and I will encourage you no, I will say it. JOYNEWS your role as a media house is to help our democracy, JOY is becoming notorious, JOY FM is becoming notorious for misinforming and doing mischief”.

Responding to Afenyo Markin comments, JOY FM’s Winston Amoah said, “Alexander Afenyo-Markin says Kwaku Asante, JOY FM and JOY NEWS engages in mischief well me my respond is very simple when it happens, I will report it, the speaker declared seats vacant of which he Alexander Afenyo Markin run to the Supreme court why did he go to the supreme court”.

“I as part of my training will not refer to you as Majority leader when the happening on the grounds suggest you are no longer majority leader, you can still say you are majority leader but I will not refer to you as majority leader at best I can report that you insist you are majority leader but the fact is that at that material moment you are cease to be majority leader”, Winston Amoah reiterated.

Meanwhile the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin today, 22 October 2024 adjourned parliamentary proceedings indefinitely, citing the lack of a quorum as the reason for halting the session and briefly mentioned that he had received a communication from the Supreme Court.
