We will walk from Manhyia Palace to Ga Mantse Palace for Peace – Scout & Guide Fellowship

Members of the Scout & Guide Fellowship, Ghana (SGFG) have announced their commitment to a peace campaign, planning to walk from the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to the Ga Mantse Palace in Greater Accra as part of their initiative for the upcoming December elections.

Addressing a news conference in Accra on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, SGFG President Dr. Andrew Botchwey explained that the Peace Walk will take place over seven days, from November 21 to 29.

He emphasized that the event aims to contribute to peace building and unity in the country.

“This year’s theme, ‘A Call to Unity: Fly the Flag for Peace,’ embodies our message,” he stated, urging Ghanaians to join in the Kumasi to Accra Peace Walk.

Dr. Botchwey also called on politicians to avoid violence and embrace peaceful dialogue, while urging community leaders to promote harmony and inclusiveness.
