We support Organized Labour Strike but cannot join -NIB

The Professional Managerial Staff Union (PMSU) and the local unions, at the National Investment Bank Limited (NIB), have conveyed their solidarity to Organized Labour for their strike action scheduled to begin tomorrow, 10th October, 2024.

The unions have however expressed disinterest in joining the strike, citing the peculiar situation the bank finds itself in.

Organized Labour’s nationwide strike is in protest of the deteriorating situation of illegal mining otherwise known as galamsey in the country.

The NIB is not the only institution which has asked its members to stay out of the strike. The Ghana Medical Association, the Ghana Meteorological Agency and GIHOC distilleries have all advised their staff against joining the strike.
