He reflects on the disappointment of relying on mass actions against governmental abuses, noting that some participants may have their own agendas.

“Okay, it seems we all have to carry our own cross now. I have learned long ago not to invest all my energy and hope in such mass actions against flagrant abuse of rights, economy, and society because, in the end, some of your compatriots shouting have their own agendas’’

Mahama applauds Ato Forson and BoG boss for steering Ghana toward economic recovery

According to him the leadership of Organized Labour decided to be enchanted by the do-little games and tricks of the government on fighting illegal mining and clandestinely upstaged the rather relentless University Teachers Association of Ghana and others to call off the much publicized and widely supported strike action against the government’s unimpressive fight against the menace.

Anyway some of us have been fortified against such kool-aid when the president and government promised never to meddle in our finances, yet gave us wicked financial haircuts on our savings,

promised not going to the IMF but ended up there in an ambulance, promised to reduce taxes but imposed harsher and uncountable business-shackling taxes, that the goverment will never borrow recklessly and yet borrowed us into a debt iceberg bigger than the one that sunk the Titanic, leading to our ostracisation from the international markets.

That the Ghanaian currency, the cedi, would be protected by wonderful economic fundamentals and yet the cedi is slavishly shackled and hiding from the dollar with four times the protective clothing it used to fight off the dollar scare in 2016. ($1 = 4 cedis in 2016, now it is almost 17 cedis to the $) .

That they will guarantee the dignity and rights of every Ghanaian and yet, orchestrated and executed the greatest election gerrymandering ever in Ghana’s history together with the Electoral Commission to callously disenfranchise my people in SALL in 2020.

For all the above, you would be wasting your time asking me to be neutral. I am not an idiot. Please identify your kind, enjoy your schmuck party and stay off my case.

I take this opportunity to declare my disgust and utter rejection of all who perpetated such acts and say chooboi!

I hereby declare a strike to strike out everyone who contributed to the carnage.”- Franklin Cudjoe
