The founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor has passed away, according to reports she died at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital on Monday, October 28.
Details about her cause of death remain undisclosed.
Maame Akua Donkor was commonly known for her amusing communications.
Media outlets have been reporting different ages for her after her sad demise yesterday with some claiming she was 72 and others 83, however, records from the Electoral Commission reveal she was 69 years old.
In a recent interview with Akua Donkor’s daughter, Mary, claimed her mother was 83, indicating she was born in 1941.
Meanwhile, a 2020 news published by Adom News with the headline “Akua Donkor marks 65th birthday with ‘fufu’ and bushmeat” on June 15, 2020, aligns with the Electoral Commission records.
