A constituent of the Tamale North, has revealed he paid Ghc15,000 as bribe for his brother to secure a job placement after graduating from Teacher Training college.
The constituent showed receipts and banker’s draft of his payment to the facilitator.
Another constituent also revealed a man paid Ghc10,000 for his wife’s appointment into the local government, but unfortunately, that did not pull through.
Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini who was also present at Community Manifesto event organized by TV3 reacting to these revelations stated, “This is what they (NPP) have reduced this country to. The NPP gov’t is taking us to levels that are just abysmal.”
Teacher and Nursing trainees after graduating from school have to wait long periods before they receive job placements. Some of them out of frustration venture into different industries whereas Ghana has a huge deficit for Nurses and Teachers.
