The young man claims his equipment used for galamsey have been drowned in the pool of water as well.

He called on Ghanaians to make sure the video goes viral and reaches government officials who will come to his aid with pumping machines, to pump out the water, so he can continue his illegal mining trade.

“We woke up today and were hit with bad news. This is where I engage in my galamsey and I woke up this morning to my galamsey pit being flooded. It has destroyed all our equipment and we are pleading with gov’t and anyone who sees this video to come and help me  pump the water out of the pit so I  continue with my galamsey,” he pleaded.

In the video, you can see him standing in a vast area of land which has been depleted of its vegetation, with heaps of sand all around.
