Broadcast Journalist Bridget Otoo has reacted to some supporters of Bishop Salifu’s Family assaulting journalists and Police Officers at the court hearing yesterday.

Bishop Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, the parents of Elrad Amoako, whose actions led to a crash that resulted in the deaths of two individuals in East Legon appeared before the Accra Circuit Court yesterday 16 October 2024.

The media was at the Accra Circuit Court to give their usual coverage of proceedings when the supporters confronted them about their coverage as the parents of the minor appeared before the Accra Circuit court.

A near brawl would have occurred but for the intervention of some security men at the court.

The supporters were believed to be members of Alive Chapel International, protesting their overseer’s arrest.

According to a post on X by Bridget Otoo the supporters of Bishop Salifu’s family do not care that families lost their two beautiful daughters in the East Legon accident.

Her post read, “They don’t care that families lost their children in this accident”.

The Ghana Police Service picked up Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, parents of the suspect driver involved in the fatal accident.

Bishop Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako were charged in court for allowing an unlicensed person to drive but pleaded not guilty to the crime and have both since been granted bail of GHc 50,000.
