John Dramani Mahama the Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that every ethnic group in Ghana are facing difficult economic hardship under the Akufo-Addo administration.

During a campaign tour at the Northeast Region John Mahama noted that the economic crisis in Ghana no ethnic group is spared from it.

John Mahama said, “Ghanaians are suffering, and the suffering does not know any ethnic groups. Mamprusis are suffering as much as Ashantis.”

“Ashantis are suffering as much as Ewes. Ewes are suffering as much as Fantis. Fantis are suffering as much as Dagaatis,” he stated.

He reiterated that the NPP came with sweet promises, “one district, one factory, one village, one dam, one million dollars per constituency per year, and so Ghanaians naturally decided that they would give them an opportunity, which they did. Unfortunately, that opportunity, I think has been squandered because today Ghanaians are suffering.
