Suspected thief killed in Kumasi

A young man suspected of being a thief has been beaten to death by residents of Fante-Newtown, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The young man in his 20s allegedly attempted to rob a supposed sex worker with a cutlass in the early hours of this morning (25^th October, 2024).

His robbery attempt was botched by residents in the vicinity, who took matters into their own hands, ending his life.

Residents of Fante-Newtown went ahead to leave his naked body on the pavement of a road in the community.
