A young man suspected of being a thief has been beaten to death by residents of Fante-Newtown, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The young man in his 20s allegedly attempted to rob a supposed sex worker with a cutlass in the early hours of this morning (25th October, 2024).

His robbery attempt was botched by residents in the vicinity, who took matters into their own hands, ending his life.
