Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin will in two days rule on the status of three MPs contesting as independent candidates and the independent second deputy speaker contesting on the ticket of the NPP.

This follows a statement by the NDC MPs in parliament to push for the majority side in the house after three MPs Suhum Kwadwo Asante, Agona West, Cynthia mamle Morrison and Amenfi Central Peter Yaw Kwarkye -Ackah filed to contest the 2024 elections as independent candidates, while the Second Deputy Speaker, an independent MP, is contesting on the NPP ticket.

Speaking on the floor of parliament yesterday Speaker Alban Bagbin then announced that he will deliver his ruling within two days.
