Serial visa scandal chief wanted by court

Nana Okurofrobour Asumani Ababio II, the Chief of Asante Akyem Hwediem, is wanted by Asofan District Court in Greater Accra over his involvement in a series of visa fraud scandals.

The chief, was arraigned before the court defrauding 28 individuals of more than GHC207,500, including $8,600 in foreign currency and additional passport fees of GHC7,500 is now nowhere to be found.

Known in his private life as Bismark Asumani, the chief promised to relocate his unsuspecting victims to Canada, the USA, and Denmark. His victims who believed him paid all these monies only to realize it was all a lie.

Nana Okurofrobour facilitated the con through Royal Nakaa Ventures together with his associate, Randy Asante Anderson.

The Asofan District Court in Greater Accra has summoned both men to face charges of defrauding by false pretense under Section 131 (1) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).

However, both men have disappeared leaving no traces whatsoever.
