Tension is mounting in the Asorgli state in the Volta region, as aggrieved Queen mothers demands the immediate removal of an alleged self-imposed overlord of the Asorgli state .
In a peaceful protest this morning on the principal street of Ho municipality, the Queen mothers were in red attire singing war songs as they have proceeded to the Asorgli state council to present their petition of removal of Togbe Afiatsoa III Mankrado of Bankoe to the secretary of the Agbogbomefia of the Asorgli state council.
According to the aggrieved Queen mothers, the Mankrado has raised curses on the paramount queemother of Asorgli state Mamaga Akua Dei and has invoked the gods of the land on her.
Adding that, he has also prevented his linguists and residents from attending the programs of the Asorgli state.
Thesw they find worrying and uncalled for as a chief.
They are therefore appealing to the Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV to order the immediate removal of Togbe Afiatsoa III Mankrado of Bankoe with immediate effect or they will seize attending any gathering of the Asorgli state council as queen mothers.

In response, the secretary of the Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV Mr Stephen Tettey received the petition and promised it will be delivered to the Agbogbomefia before close of today.
