Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister for Communication and Digitalization and MP for Ablekuma West, has praised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for being dedicated to fulfilling his promises. Speaking to constituents on October 4, 2024, she highlighted the president’s commitment to infrastructure development, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Owusu-Ekuful emphasized that President Akufo-Addo has not only promised but delivered on major projects, referring to him as a “promise keeper.” She noted that several hospital projects under Agenda 111, including a 40-bed facility set for commissioning and an ongoing 100-bed municipal hospital, are proof of the president’s dedication.

“He is the only Head of State we have had in this country who is building 111 hospitals simultaneously. This has never happened before,” she stated, encouraging those skeptical to visit ongoing projects like Ebenezer Senior High School, where visible work is being done.

The MP urged the constituents to re-elect the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure the continuation of these projects. She expressed concerns that a change in government could lead to the abandonment of critical developments, referencing past projects initiated by President Kufuor that were left unfinished until Akufo-Addo resumed work on them.

“If we don’t ‘break the 8,’ the hospital projects might be abandoned by a new government. To see the Ablekuma West hospital completed and serving us, we need to vote to ensure continuity,” Owusu-Ekuful concluded.
