President Akufo Addo challenges Mahama to declare his stance on illegal mining

President Akufo-Addo has challenged Former President and 2024 NDC Presidential Candidate, John Mahama, to declare his stance on the fight against illegal mining or galamsey.

The President statement comes amid pressure on him to declare a state of emergency as well as implement firm measures to halt the menace.

Addressing residents in the North East Region during his thank you tour yesterday, President Akuffo Addo accused Mr Mahama of supporting galamsey to score political points .
