Irate youth of Auoyeboaah have accused some Police officers from the Suame police station of beating a 27 year old man identified as Solomon Kwame Nyarko popularly Known as Obirisko to death.
The youth besieged the Suame Police Station to demand for the release of the officers who allegedly killed Obirisko.
According to reports, the police arrested the deceased on Friday, October 18, 2024 over suspicion of selling marijuana in the area.
According to an eyewitness, she saw the police in the area with their pickup vehicle chasing Obirisko.
“I suddenly saw the police officers coming with Obirisko lying restless in the hands of the police. They put him into their pickup and fled”, she said.
“Out of suspicion, I called some of the youth to follow up on the case.
We finally realized that, he was sent to Suntreso Government Hospital by the police officers, upon our arrival at the hospital, some of the nurses told us that the guy is a thief. This infuriated us and resulted in a scuffle between us and the Hospital”.
“We are demanding justice and thorough investigation into the matter”.
Mother of the deceased has also threatened to invoke curses on the police and hospital for accusing her son of being a thief.
“I overheard the doctor claiming that the police injected the deceased leading to his demise before bringing him to the hospital”, she alleged.
She cautioned the hospital to conduct a clean postmortem for the truth to prevail or else, she will summoned them before the gods of the land for justice to prevail.
