A netizen has claimed that the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, had a church wedding when he married Samira Bawumia.

In a post on X accompanied by photos of their marriage, the social media wrote, “ Alhaji Bawumia did a CHURCH wedding 🤣🤡🤡”

In the viral post on X, Dr. Bawumia was in a black suit while his bride Samira was dressed in a wedding gown.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife the Second Lady of Ghana Samira Bawumia are both known to Muslims, and it is yet to be established if they got married in the Church as it has been claimed by the social media user.

According to information they first in May 2003 and got married in February on 14 February 2004 nine months after they met.

At the age of 24 Samira Bawumia gave birth to Dr. Bawumia’s child in December 2004. their first daughter who was named Nadia.

Dr. Bawumia and Samira Bawumia are currently blessed with four children.
