Rev. Owusu Bempah has responded to Chairman Wontumi’s threats, in which he warned that he would make the pastor experience his “smoothness level” if he ever sets foot in Kumasi.
This warning from the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Party Chairman comes after the man of God claimed that the NPP was involved in his notorious arrest years ago.
According to the man of God No one including Wontumi can prevent him from coming to Kumasi.
“I’m a Bantama boy so chairman, you can’t stop me from coming to Kumasi. You were a small boy when we I started roaming the streets of Kumasi” he said.
He went on to call Wontumi a liar for saying he brought the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to his house.
“Even the Vice President will confirm what Wontumi said is a lie because it never happened” he said while speaking to his congregation.
Known for his close ties with the NPP, Rev. Owusu Bempah recently expressed disappointment in the party and noted that his life was threatened under the direct orders of IGP Dampare who was also following orders from president Akufo-Addo.
However, Chairman Wontumi replied that the NPP had no hand in his arrest and also alleged that Dr Bawumia visited Rev Owusu Bempah to receive his blessings and after the prayer, the man of God declared the NPP’s presidential aspirant as the next president of the Republic.
The man of God who recently endorsed the presidential candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama dismissed all the allegations.
