A man dressed in white who was arrested together with some protesters of Democracy Hub and alleged that he was picked up on his way back from mass has been spotted once again.

On Sunday, 22nd September, when chaos broke out between Democracy Hub protesters and the Ghana Police Service during the second day of the protest the man was arrested among other 52 protesters of the Democracy Hub.

In a viral video, this time around the man was on his way out of court still in his white dress in cuffs very infuriated said, “sick nation, yeye police, mumu police, zombie police, sick nation, a nation where the minster of will steal millions of dollars and hide it nothing will happen to her while innocent citizens are being jailed in Nsawam prison”.

“Prisoners are being fed with 1cedi 80 pesewas sick nation, depleted nation, Nsawam Prison cannot break me, your cells cannot break me down sick nation, rubbish people”. He stated while being directed into a police bus.

He further accused a police officer of slapping protesters.

On Tuesday, October 8, the Accra Circuit Court approved bail to 31 protesters after 21 others had earlier been approved bail by the Accra High Court on Monday.

Fifty-two Democracy Hub protesters have been granted bail, following their arrest during their protest on September 23.

Meanwhile, the lead convener of the group, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has once again been denied bail.
