NIA staff declare indefinite strike

All workers of the National identification Authority have begun an indefinite strike from Today October 7, 2024, over management’s failure to operationalize the newly approved Scheme of Service (SoS).

The Scheme of Service, which was approved in March according to the staff remains a vital tool for their collective survival and progress, so Management’s refusal to implement this critical document is a blatant betrayal of trust and a direct attack on workers well-being.

In a statement signed jointly by NIA Division chairman and secretary of Public Services Workers Union of TUC Ghana Notified members to lay down their tools in protest for the full operationalization of the scheme of service from today.
