An X user with user name @marcusadampah has advocated for psychiatric care for the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO).
In a X post, Marcus quoted a video of NAPO criticizing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its 24-hour economy.
” Fellow Ghanaians, don’t you think Napo urgently needs a Psychiatrist on his Campaign Team?” his tweet read.
NAPO in a campaign trail indicated that Presidential Candidate of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama’s campaign had lost steam.
He went on to rubbish the 24-hour economy policy introduced by the NPP saying the NDC is promising to operate nightclubs 24 hours daily.
“If you open the night club for 24 hours and the person cannot work or has no work to do, how can that person drink for 24 hours. Sometimes someone speaks based on who they are and what they do. Mahama has the money to enjoy in the club for 24 hours. Even if he doesn’t work the nation will pay him because he is a former president,” he stated.
His statement did not sit well with many in the NDC as they deemed his remarks derogatory.
