Gospel musician and known sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nicholas Omane Acheampong, claims the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) plans to cause chaos and confusion in the Ashanti Region ahead of the December 7, 2024 elections.
According to him, the NDC plans to set fires in various markets in the region to cause mayhem and use it as a ploy to discourage people living in the region which is regarded as an NPP stronghold from voting.
He made this allegation on pro NPP television station Wontumi TV.
“NDC has contracted people to set fires in the major markets here in the Ashanti Region. That way the euphoria people in the Ashanti Region have to vote in the elections will turn into sadness and drop the voter turnout in the Ashanti Region. That’s the plan of the NDC,” he added.
The musician added that the current power outages in the country is also caused by the NDC. He claims the NDC is sabotaging the government all in a bid to win power.
He further accused the NDC of being responsible for the galamsey menace in the country.
