A National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch chairman in Hohoe has defected to join the ruling New Patriotic Party.

The branch chairman immediately joined the NPP after a door-to-door engagement with Hon John Peter Amewu.

In a video posted by the NPP Projects Bureau on X, the branch chairman of the NDC was seated with his NDC shirt removed while NPP supporters surrounded him, he was given a blue campaign T-shirt of Hon. Peter Amewu the incumbent member of parliament for Hohoe.
