Leader of Movement for Change firmly opposes LGBTQ activities, citing Christian faith

Independent Presidential Candidate and Leader of Movement for Change, Alan Kojo Kyeremanteng has declared his firm stance against LGBTQ activities in the country owing to his Christian faith.

Speaking at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) evening encounter held on October 1, 2024, Alan Kyeremateng made it clear that he neither supports nor condones LGBTQ practices.

Alan Kojo Kyeremanteng remarks were prompted by calls from various quarters, particularly by stakeholders in the country, urging him to clarify his position on the LGBT issue.

Addressing the congregation Economic Affairs (IEA) evening encounter leader for Movement for Change steadfast stance against LGBTQ activities, affirming that such practices would not be tolerated under his leadership when he is voted into power ob December 7.

“First of all, it is important to note that our cultural and societal norms and values as Ghanaians frown on the practice of homosexuality,” Alan Kyeremanteng stated.

“Furthermore, as a catholic, my view on this matter aligns with the position of my religious faith. The bible is replete with verses frowning on LGBTQ acts, including same-sex marriages.

My faith is therefore very strictly against the practice of homosexuality, no “ifs” or “buts”. No shades of grey.”

“Therefore, I personally cannot support that which my religion, and indeed, all the major religions in Ghana clearly and unequivocably forbid.
