Speaking to CITI FM, Kofi Akaploo said in 2018 when the media against galamsey started everybody supported the media because the timing was right.

Akaploo said, “But this one 2 months to an election and you are leading this then you just want the government to go that’s all”.

Kofi Akpaloo added that he wants to be president, but he does not want to become president in that way, “I want to become a president by having a positive mentality, I want to have peace of mind to rule, to deliver, I don’t want a situation that I want to see someone going down then I benefit from the person going down”.  He reiterated.

He called on Organised Labour to forget their intended nationwide strike action until after the 2024 election.
