Jubilee house has confirmed the Executive Secretary to President Nana Addo, Nana Bediatuo Asante ill-health.
In a press statement released on 2nd October 2024 and signed by Eugene Arhin the Director of Communications of the office of the President, it reads “The Office of the President wishes to inform the public about the health status of Nana Bediatuo Asante, Secretary to the President”.
“Following the conclusion of the meeting of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, in the United States of America, where he served as a key member of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation, Nana Bediatuo Asante stayed behind to conduct further government business. He then began to feel unwell and was subsequently admitted to hospital”, the statement added.
The statements added that Nana Bediatuo is in a stable condition and responding well to treatment.
There have been several rumors circulating about Bediatuo ill health conditions with one claiming he has passed away and another claiming he underwent a 10-hour brain surgery in the US.
The statement by the Director of Communications at the office of the President has now dispel some of the rumors.
