The curfew was imposed after an emergency National Security Meeting yesterday 28th October 2024, chaired by President Akuffo Addo.

A statement signed by deputy Interior Minister, Naana Eyiah, indicates that based on assessment of National Security Agencies, the continued presence of Seidu Abagre in Bawku poses a substantial threat to public safety and security.
