“Innocent” Prison officer lynched at Kasoa

An angry mob at Iron City, a suburb of Kasoa, have beaten an innocent Prison Officer to death.

The Prison Officer, identified as Gideon Adu Boakye according to residents in the area was presumed a thief, leading to his lynching.

Reports from residents indicate that regardless of Gideon’s shouts of pleas and indication that he was a Prison Officer and not a thief, the angry mob ignored him, beating him to death.

After killing him, the mob dumped Gideon’s body in a nearby gutter.

Gideon’s body was discovered by the Ghana Police on October 1st where his body upon examination revealed he had suffered multiple stab wounds, which led to his untimely demise.

 

A prison officer identified as Gideon Adu Boakye, stationed at the Nsawam Prisons, was lynćhed at Kasoa Iron City at night when the lights were off in the area.
