A member of the National Cathedral’s board of trustees, Dr. Joyce Aryee has justified payment made to some top National Cathedral officials.
On TV3 Key Point on 5 October 2024, Hon Ablakwa revealed that he has intercepted documents from the Integrated Personnel Payroll database since the project stalled 31 months ago and the document showed that these top officials of the National Cathedral project have been paid for 31 months.
Speaking at a symposium on Monday, October 14, Dr. Aryee said, “If a project is on hold, it doesn’t mean that people are not working to keep it going. I’m surprised, I don’t even want to comment on it, as ridiculous as this. No, I won’t comment”.
She further added, “So you establish an organization, the organization should stop because you don’t have money to continue a certain aspect of the organization. Is that it? Answer it yourself.”
