Paramount Chief of Ampeyoo, Nana Odeifuor Frimpong Ware II, has offered an unqualified apology to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not voting any of its Parliamentary Candidates to power in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

According to him, because the NPP created the Oti region, the region should have at least honored the party by electing some of its candidates in the 2020 parliamentary election to power as a show of appreciation.

Speaking at a durbar, he stated, “May I apologize for our inability to give the NPP a seat in the Oti Region. Despite the fact that the NPP encouraged and ensured we had the Oti region. Thank you for that.”

He further assured the NPP that the they will ensure the party wins numerous seats in the 2024 general elections scheduled for December 7, 2024.
