Heavy traffic on the Accra-Kumasi highway

There is heavy traffic on the Accra-Kumasi highway currently.

This is due to repair work being undertaken on the road after heavy rain which caused parts of the roads to become muddy.

Reports indicated that some buses and trucks had been stuck on the road since 1 am.

In a video posted on social media platform X, Fuel tankers and Cargo trucks could be seen parked in heavy traffic on the Accra-Kumasi highway with no signs of movement.

Some road users stepped out of their vehicles to walk around after being in traffic for a long time.
