Ghanaian socialite, Hajia Bintu has sent tongues wagging with a request some Ghanaians perceive as odd.
Hajia Bintu posted a video of herself trying on some dresses, and asked Ghanaians to help her make a choice between the two dresses.
The commotion is however not about the dresses, but the occasion she wants to choose one of the dresses for.
The first dress, a beautiful white gown with a veil, was tigh high, revealing the butterfly tattoo on her left tigh.
The second dress, a black and white dresses with spots, had a hood and demure tail, complimenting her.
Hajia Bintu wants to wear one of these dcelebrate Halloween, which is awkward for some Ghanaians as the country does not celebrate it. It was believed that on that day, the souls of the dead returned to their homes, so people dressed in costumes and lit bonfires to ward off spirits. In this way, popular Halloween tropes such as witches, ghosts, and goblins became associated with the holiday.
