GIHOC distilleries MD vows to sack any staff member who goes on strike

Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has promised to sack any of his employees who join the nationwide strike by Organized Labour against Galamsey.

According to him, the strike by Organized Labour has nothing to do with any employee of GIHOC distilleries.

In a recent interview he said, “They have no business going on strike as the issue on being protested on doesn’t affect them”.

Organised Labour is set to embark on a nationwide strike scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2024 due to their dissatisfaction with President Akufo-Addo’s response to their demands, regarding galamsey and its effects on the citizens and the various water bodies in Ghana.
