Ghana Scholarship Secretariat disbursed GHS50 million to stranded Ghanaian students abroad

The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat has announced it has disbursed some GHS50 million to stranded Ghanaian students abroad.

Speaking in an interview with some journalist, the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat said, “the whole scholarship Secretariat including my boss the Registrar of scholarship empathize and sympathize with the students who were stranded, but thankfully due to the uproar and cries of Ghanaians it the Ministry of Finance has release a 50 million which has been dispatched to these students in various countries”.

Additionally, the Secretariat anticipates receiving GHS 100 million from the Ministry of Finance in the coming weeks to cover all outstanding allowances owed to students studying abroad on Government of Ghana scholarships.

He added by assuring Ghanaians that the Ministry of Finance has come through for them and that the cries of the students will be a thing of the past.

Meanwhile it was alleged that some Ghanaian students studying abroad on government scholarships have resorting to desperate means like selling sperm, engaging in prostitution to make ends meet due to severe financial neglect by the government.
