A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko has mocked DKB and the National Democratic Congress Ad, which allows people to go to the bank at 2 am to transact business.
According to the cousin of President Akufo-Addo, he saw the ad on the air of a party promising to have commercial banks open 24 hrs and assumed it was a fake ad.
In the video posted by Gabby comedian DKB and an unknown woman were in a dialogue, when the woman asked DKB if he had already cashed out the check.
Reacting to the video Gabby Otchere-Darko criticized saying the world was in the fourth Industrial Revolution for crying out loud and bankers should be asked about banking at dawn.
His full post reads, “I saw this ad on air of a party promising to have commercial banks opening 24hrs to allow people to go to the bank at 2 am to transact business. I was assuming it was fake. But apparently, it is not! This is the 4th Industrial Revolution, for crying out loud! Please ask bankers”.
The concept of a 24-hour economy has been promoted by the NDC and John Mahama as a means to boost productivity and economic growth by enabling businesses to operate around the clock.
